Job Description:
Develop and oversee strategy for procurement for all US sites in alignment with global procurement direction.
Perform assigned tasks directed at achieving total cost reductions in material, tooling, and contracted services costs in support of the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties:
Carry out the purchasing processes necessary to provide the proper goods and services, as requested by operations on a timely, competitive, and cost effective basis Identify opportunities and risks associated with current procurement strategy and develop action plans to capitalize on opportunities and minimize risk Work with site level buying/planning functions on purchase strategy, along with optimizing inventory levels Liaise with critical suppliers on improvement of payment terms Work with site and corporate finance and accounting groups on disposition of slow moving and obsolete materials, including selling or obtaining credit from suppliers, where possible Perform supplier audits when necessary to ensure compliance to company standards and to certify suppliers and products Assist sites in managing non-conforming purchased material disposition Develop and maintain supplier data bases for commodities, which ensure viable alternatives and continued sources of supply as well as competitive pricing Prepare cost savings reports as directed Manage other projects as assigned Reports directly to COO with dotted line to Chief Purchasing Officer Education and
Experience:
Require a (2) year degree in business, accounting, or procurement or (3) years experience.
Candidates must have exceptional integrity and ability to work well in a team.
Negotiation experience along with date-analysis, and strategic-thinking.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal Candidate will hold a four-year degree One or more of the following designations:
Possess a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), and/or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for all aspects of the procurement process.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that all requirements are met and that the best products are purchased and used to meet company goals.
Essential Functions:
Review vendor quotes and price lists to ensure that all specifications are met and that appropriate product information is obtained.
Develop purchase orders from vendor quotes and obtain required documents from vendors.
Prepare Purchase Orders for purchase orders, including obtaining necessary documents from vendors.
Ensure that all purchase orders are properly signed by vendors and that proper credit authorization is obtained prior to order submission.
Prepare Purchase Orders for all order changes as required.
Prepare Purchase Orders for new products as required.
Prepare Purchase Orders for new hires as required.
Prepare Purchase Orders for new projects as required.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent experience of degree and experience in business administration preferred.
Minimum 3 years of procurement experience preferred, or equivalent experience of degree and experience in business administration preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Strong analytical skills with excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at all times while maintaining a high level of initiative & self-motivation.
