Manufacturing Supervisor - Melting

  • Provide production employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of department operations. Promptly address performance issues.
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Plan and schedule operations within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain well-organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Two year college degree or demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department management.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment or demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department management
  • Experience directing and supervising others and objectively evaluate performance and train/develop others. Knowledge of positive employee-relations practices
  • Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices.
  • Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent problem solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and influence others.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
