Vehicle Description 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible Beautiful very high driver quality Impala that has just come out of 30
year ownership with know ownership since the late 1980s.
I'm not a huge Impala guy so I'm going to put up the best description that I can.
True code 1467 Super Sport convertible.
Built the second week of July '7B' of 1964 at the Van Nuys, CA assembly plant (L in the VIN).
The motor is stamped '0623' which means that it's most likely a numbers matching car.
The motor also has the 'S' suffix which denotes a 327 power glide.
I believe this to be the correct original motor for the car although it has the wrong valve covers.
The car was originally finished in Satin Silver, but is now painted, in my opinion, a much more attractive Riverside Red.
This SS is equipped with correct black bucket seat interior with console.
Code '815' which is a code specific only to Super Sport cars.
It also has the correct code '2' black convertible top.
The impala is equipped with factory tinted glass, rear antenna, padded dash, and front retractable seat belts.
The car was completely restored about 30 years ago, but has been used since being done and has a few chips and scratches from use over the years.
It still presents extremely well and looks gorgeous.
The top is perfect.
All of the chrome and the interior is also near perfect.
All lights, signals, horn, radio, and gauges work properly.
The power top works excellent.
The car runs and drives excellent.
A really beautiful vehicle with a great history.
